You don’t love someone because they’re perfect, you love them in spite of the fact that they’re not.

Manong driver told us a story yesterday about his employer. The family of his employer was one of those thousands of victims of the Super Typhoon Yolanda that recently hit the Visayas Region. So here’s his story.
He is an owner of one taxi franchise here in Manila and in Tacloban. He has a wife, a son, and two daughters. His son and daughter went to Tacloban for a vacation. Unfortunately his wife and other daughter went also after some time. They were all victims of the typhoon. All of his taxis were also devastated. He went to Tacloban to arrange the funeral of his family. Sadly, his eldest which is son and also his favorite, was included at the Mass Grave. He retrieved the bodies of his wife and two daughters. Now he do not know how he will live because his family is gone. For him, his life right now is useless and he wants to sell all his taxis here in Manila. The taxi driver was also problematic because of that.
This story is only one of the thousands of stories to tell. I feel so sorry for him, for the thousands of lives that were taken, and for the whole city of Tacloban that was flattened and devastated in a snap. Let’s all pray for the whole Visayas. Bangon Pilipinas!
